The Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW) looks after the protection of rights and supervises the welfare activities of the students of the IITM Group of Institutions. Department of Students’ Welfare promotes and co-ordinates the different students’ activities for better corporate life.

The Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW) closely works with students across all years and all societies to explore ways to enhance or address aspects of the entire student experience, from education to student life to career planning, and works with students to develop innovative solutions to issues and concerns.

The main purpose behind setting up such service centers is to contribute towards the development of an academic environment that promotes productive learning and academic success while abolishing the stressing and challenging situations that could arise for one or another reason.

Department of Students’ Welfare undertakes the following prominent activities:

 

ORIENTATION PROGRAMS

The orientation program is meant to celebrate your arrival and orient you to campus life. You are about to embark on a new adventure in your education, career, and personal life.

Orientation Program is a chance for students to learn how things work at their new educational world and meet other students as well as faculty and staff members. Orientation is also a chance for the institute to start getting to know your student.

 

ANTI RAGGING CELL

It is prestigious that the IITM Group campus is free from ragging. IITM Group of Institutions believes in ZERO TOLERANCE TO RAGGING CRIME.

Ragging is strictly prohibited in this institution as per Government order. Names of those indulging in ragging will be instantly removed from the roll and further action will be taken as per Government order.

Ragging means any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating, handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

 

OPEN HOUSE SESSIONS

IITM Group of Institutions is a student‐centric campus. Regular feedback and transparent system make the learning experience enriching.
Open house sessions are held at the beginning of each semester to bring forth the common problems faced by students and suggestions for improvement of the learning process.
